Day 2

Not sure what it is with us and boats.  The RSPB runs a boat trip up the Firth of Forth on Sunday at 10:30, so we were there bright and early having checked out of the Northcraig Cottage B n B.  We arrived at he jetty under the railway bridge in good time but the boat had left at 08:30.  Apparently they know all the posters put up have the wrong time on them and telephone number but haven't got round to taking them down.  Not Good.

So off we set to our evening digs at Grantown on Spey, a Bothy run by Craggan Outdoors. We took the scenic route taking in two ski resorts and some wonderful landscapes. Rather oddly we came upon a restored Mini Cooper sat in the middle of nowhere and with no one about! not a great fan of the mini but this was in excellent condition.

We stopped off lots for the odd shot but the sun was really high (yes Sun!) which made everything a bit flat, as in this shot.

Off to see the Dolphins at Chanonry Point tomorrow, no boats involved!
