A lesson learned!

Went out to photograph the Medieval Bridge over the River Great Ouse at St Neots last evening.  Its getting darker sooner now in the evenings but as it was a clear sky so I thought I'd have enough time.  It was all a bit rushed.

My intention was to take long exposures to get the river surface to be a glassy reflection of the Bridge itself.  But for some reason I couldn't get the exposures as long as I needed and then the moment was gone.

Once home and looking at the images I found out what was wrong, I noticed far more graininess (is that a word) and noise (coloured speckles) than I would expect.  Then it hit me, on the Deer walk on Saturday as the light was fading I had to increase the sensitivity of the camera to allow me to keep shooting.  I'd forgotten to set it back to normal, so that was why I couldn't get long exposures the camera was still set to high sensitivity (or High ISO as its called).

So a new rule, put camera back to basic settings after every trip!!

Managed to salvage a couple of images though.
